Abby was born and raised in Minneapolis, Minnesota, and lived there until she graduated high school. After graduating, she took part in a gap year missions program through the World Race, where she traveled overseas to spread the Gospel and serve the needs of different churches and communities, primarily in Romania, Ukraine, Chili, Peru, India, and Nepal. After returning, she felt called to Denver, Colorado, to pursue a degree in psychology with an emphasis in clinical counseling. While in Denver, she met her husband Shane while he was on staff at the YWAM Denver base, and after she finished school, the Lord led them to move to Ludington (where Shane grew up). She is passionate about worship and loves the outdoors, camping, and investing in friends and family. She currently helps manage a local dog kennel and loves animals of all kinds. She owns a corgi, who you may see scuttling around the church from time to time.
